2 days left!

Wow, I can't believe it's almost here--can you believe I've been blogging for about the last year leading up to the big day?

I've been running around like a crazy person for the last few days doing last minute errands, etc. No matter how organized I have been up to the big day, I feel like you can't really do everything and things get left to the last minute to do. So it's been a bit hectic!

Not sure I will get to post again before the big day and then we'll be off on the honeymoon--but we'll be back May 4 and I will put up honeymoon and wedding pictures for everyone!

Thanks to everyone who has listened to me talk non-stop about boring wedding stuff for the last year--it bored me too most of the time and I know it's sometimes the only thing I ever talked about--so thanks for sticking around, lending a listening ear and for being there for me!

And never fear--the blog will return, newly dubbed as "The Essama Family" where you can hear about our boring lives post wedding, so don't stop reading!

Love, Sara

Me Love Cookie!

I spent a rather productive Sunday baking dozens of cookies. Why, you may ask? Well, #1 I came up with this hair-brained idea related to the wedding and I wanted to do it myself (with some help from Laura (and Damien!). And #2, it's a secret, but suffice to say, you'll find out on Saturday!

HOLLA!!!!

I do

That was Belinga's response this morning when the Clerk of Loudoun County Court asked us to confirm our identities and affirm we were entering into marriage without being currently married or being related to each other (so far as we knew).

Both me and the lady laughed when he responded "I do" instead of "Yes," which is how I responded. Well, hey, at least he's practicing!

So we have our marriage license finally! Let me tell you, if you have the choice, get your marriage license in Loudoun County!! There wasn't a soul there at 9 am at the courthouse, you can fill out the application online, so you just go in, pay $30 in cash, take an oath and you're out. It was about 5-7 minutes total. (I'm not sure if you have to be getting married in Loudoun County or just the state of Virginia...I there is conflicting info out there. She asked us if we were getting married in Virginia in the next 60 days, not if we were getting married in Loudoun County in the next 60 days.)

I can't believe it's next week!

It's Official

I've hit "Holy Cr*p there's only 12 days until the wedding" full on panic mode. I was wondering when it would occur and it's here. Officially.

It just seems like there are an OVERWHELMING number of minute details that need to be worked out and everyone is looking at me like I should/need to have the answers. Like where is the top of the wedding cake going to be stored at the end of the night? Who is responsible for taking all the gifts/cards home? At what exact moment in time will I be ready to go with everything on to take pictures?

And my mind is turning to mush. I keep forgetting things. Things that I should've done like over a week ago. But I keep forgetting them. And whereas before I was constantly waiting on people to get back to me, now people are waiting on me to get them info on programs, menus, escort cards, etc.

But I'm excited! And nervous! Yikes! Where did the last 13 months go?!
